Satisfaction Aryan reports from Pithoragarh that Uttarakhand Kranti Dal organized a Guruji Dialogue ahead of Teacher’s Day. The discussion covered Uttarakhand’s education system, migration for studies, land buying and selling, restoration of the old pension scheme, and current political climate. Speaking at a city hotel, senior UKD leader and former MLA Kashi Singh Airi emphasized the teachers’ role in the statehood movement. He noted that after state formation, the lack of solid policies on the ground has left many regions facing migration, trade, and employment issues. He drew attention to 114 schools in the district that have been closed, marking it a matter of concern. He contrasted these closures with new shopfronts for alcohol and brick kilns being planned. During the event, Bhim Ram Kohli, representing Chhaliya Dal, was honored with a shawl along with other attendees including Jitendra Valdia, Praveen Rawal, Anil Kumar, Giradhar Singh Bisht, Dwarika Prasad Joshi, Pushkar Datt Joshi, Dr. Ashok Pant, Kalpana, Dr. Asha Joshi, Bhupendra Singh Thapa, Laxman Singh Khati, Barraj Singh Rawat, Mahiman Joshi, and others. The program was conducted by district president Janardan Uprti and colleagues Bhaskar Anand Joshi and Captain Retired Diwan Singh Valdia.
