This page explains, in plain language, how information shared with Khatima News is used when you visit the site or contact our newsroom.
Information you send us
If you use the Contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter so the newsroom can read and respond to it. If you submit a Citizen Reporter report, the newsroom may receive your name, mobile number, city, report and any supporting photos or files you choose to send.
Citizen Reporter privacy
Citizen Reporter submissions are reviewed in the private newsroom CMS. A submission is not automatically published. If an editor approves a report, the published story may include the report and selected evidence; your mobile number and other private contact details are not displayed as part of the public story.
How we use information
We use submitted information to review reports, follow up when needed, respond to feedback, check corrections and operate the news service. We do not sell personal contact information. Access to non-public submissions is limited to newsroom work.
Device preferences and third-party services
The site may store your light/dark theme choice in your browser so it can remember your preference. Stories may link to or embed services such as X; when you open or interact with those services, their own privacy terms and technologies apply.
Your requests and policy updates
To ask about information you sent, request a correction or raise a privacy concern, contact us through the Contact page. We may update this policy when the site or its practices change; the current version will be posted here.
