A collision occurred in Kaladhungi near Headil Gate when a speeding motorcycle struck a woman walking home and a scooter nearby. The impact fractured the 55-year-old woman’s leg and left the motorcycle rider and another person with injuries. After the crash, the motorcycle veered into a roadside field. The injured riders have been identified as 25-year-old Nishant Kuria and Anil Kandpal, both residents of Haldwani, Lamachaur area, who sustained injuries in the incident. The 55-year-old woman, named Bharti Devi (wife of the late Rajendra Prasad), was taken to a hospital for urgent care; doctors referred her to a higher facility in Haldwani given the seriousness of the injury. A police team led by Station House Officer Pankaj Joshi is investigating the case and collecting statements from witnesses.
