Since the disaster, Farswan has visited the area several times, highlighting villagers’ problems to the administration and urging concrete repairs. Yet, he notes that no substantial ground work has materialized to restore safe passage.
Footpaths and bridges in the Pousari, Baisani, and Jagthana areas were washed out or partially ruined, creating significant travel challenges for residents. The hardship worsens during the monsoon season and heightens risk for routine movement and potential emergency access.
Farswan adds that for the past year he has continued to raise these issues with authorities and has escorted villagers during visits to convey their grievances. Despite ongoing efforts by residents and local representatives who have consistently pushed for action, the on-ground improvements remain limited.
He identified a broad coalition of local voices, including district panchayat member Balwant Ram, area panchayat member Jasod Ram, former area panchayat member Kundan Danu, and several others who have continuously pressed the matter.
