The accused include 2 CRPF personnel, a sub-inspector and a head constable. A case was registered after the woman contacted police during the night.

She said unknown people targeted her while she supported her friend Yashoda, who is contesting the vice-president . Police said the complaint is being investigated.

A 16-tyre truck carrying cement overturned in Dehradun’s Mohabewala area, striking a motorcycle and leaving 2 people dead and 2 injured. Police reached the scene, arranged relief and rescue efforts, sent the injured for treatment and began examining the crash. Traffic on the route was also affected for some time.

A 32-year-old man from Pune was found hanging inside a hotel room in Bahadrabad after staff alerted police when he did not respond.
