On Saturday, a Teacher’s Day program was held at a hotel in Harbartpur where 95 serving and retired teachers were honored. The event was organized by Nagar Palika President Neeru Devi. Legislator Munna Singh Chauhan addressed the gathering, stating that teachers are the strongest link in society and deserve respect in all circumstances. He noted that during changing times and in the modern education system, teachers bear increased responsibilities, and alongside quality instruction, instilling values is equally important for shaping responsible citizens who can contribute to a strong society and nation.
Retired educators also participated actively, sharing experiences with current teachers. Retired spokesperson Ashok Kumar Singh underscored that even after retirement, teachers continue guiding society, and their experience remains a source of inspiration for both students and ongoing teachers. He emphasized that teachers play a pivotal role in developing knowledge, discipline, values, and ethics among students.
Overall, the program reinforced the view that teachers form a foundational pillar for societal development and for building a robust nation.
