A large turnout from the Congress and its Youth wing surrounded the Rudrapur district office on Saturday, organized at the call of the Youth Congress. The protest featured Surbhi Dwivedi, the national general secretary of the Youth Congress and in-charge for Uttarakhand, along with other national office-bearers.
She targeted the chief minister, urging the administration to stand with the constitution and take a firm stand against casteism. She also invited BJP workers to join the Youth Congress protest if they truly oppose casteism.
The protest highlighted a broader call for accountability, linking caste-based actions to political power and electoral consequences, while emphasizing mobilization among youth and women to challenge systemic casteism.
