Kashipur witnessed strong performances in a block-level cricket competition, leading to the selection of 25 players for the district championship. The picks span 2 age groups, under-17 and under-19, based on performances across the tournament. In the under-17 category, selections include Shakib, Ayaz, Abdullah, Suryansh Giri, Himanshu, Abhay Pratap Singh, Avtar Singh, Sandeep, Mayank Sagar, Kuldeep Kumar, Shaurya and Naitik Kumar. In the under-19 category, Mohit Kumar, Akash, Himanshu, Riyan, Aman, Vikas Rai, Muhammad Suheb, Mayank Kumar Joshi, Nazim, Muhammad Asad, Muhammad Yusuf and Nakul were chosen to represent the district. The event was inaugurated by the principal of Ramowai Patarampur Vidyalaya with a ceremonial cutting of the ribbon. Block sports coordinator Keshav Singh outlined the selection basis and confirmed the team composition. The district team is slated to participate in the zonal competition in Rudrapur on September 14, 15 and 16, where other officials and coordinators, including Subhash Chandra, Tavinda Ali, Shamshar Ahmed, Sanjay Verma, Anoop Singh and Harish Chouhan, will be involved in organizing and supporting the event.
