Roorkee, UT—A Teacher’s Day ceremony at IIT Roorkee honored faculty for outstanding contributions in teaching and research. The event opened with homage to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In undergraduate teaching, Prof. Vinod Pankajakshan, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, and young faculty awardee Prof. Ramanuja Panigrahi were recognized. In graduate category, Prof. Manil T. Mohan and Prof. Rajarshi Chakravarti received awards, with Prof. Shrikrishnan S. Subramanian named in the young faculty division. Prof. Amiya K. Nayak from the Mathematics department was selected for the Prof. Bala Krishna Krishna Outstanding Teacher Award. In addition, Prof. Vinay Sharma from the Management Studies department and Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava from Chemical Engineering jointly received the Ramkumar Award, while Prof. Rajat Agarwal from Management Studies was chosen for the Prof. Prabha Nayar Award for Excellent Time Management.
