In Rudraprayag, the Alaknanda river ran near warning levels as rain persisted, and a total of 108 roads across the state remained closed. The weather department issued yellow alerts for heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Haridwar, Bageshwar, Nainital, Pauri, and Champawat.
In Champawat’s Chhini-Goth area, SDRF safely rescued 3 villagers stranded across the Hoodi river while 3 of their livestock were left behind to forage; rising water levels prevented their return. Earlier, in Dehradun’s Jainintwala area, the Noon river surged after rainfall and a Mahindra pickup was swept away.
Meanwhile, in Ramnagar’s Pumpabari region, a massive tree fell onto a road near the PWD guest house, disrupting traffic. In Chamoli, a heavy landslide between Tharali-Deval blocked the motor route to Nandakeshri-Kothi, though traffic was later restored.
