The flight service connecting Delhi, Pithoragarh and Dehradun will move to a new schedule from Tuesday, 27 October. Under the revised plan, the service will operate 5 days a week and remain suspended on Fridays and Sundays.

The route is operated by Heritage with a 42-seat aircraft. The company began the service in September, with flights planned for 6 days a week between Delhi and Pithoragarh and 5 days a week between Pithoragarh and Dehradun.

However, operations did not consistently follow the planned timetable. Weather conditions and technical issues had affected the service at different times. Operations improved after the rainy season ended and weather conditions became more supportive.

Revised flight rotation

The aircraft will arrive in Pithoragarh from Delhi before continuing to Dehradun. It will then return from Dehradun to Pithoragarh and carry passengers onward to Delhi.

According to the revised timetable, the aircraft will land at Naini Saini Airport from Delhi at 11:20 AM. It will depart Naini Saini for Dehradun at 11:45 AM.

After returning from Dehradun, the aircraft will land at Naini Saini at afternoon 2:05. It will then depart for Delhi at 2:30.

The schedule is intended to provide a fixed connection between the 3 locations on the 5 operating days each week. Travellers planning journeys on the route will need to account for the service break on Fridays and Sundays.

Sandeep Yadav, director of Naini Saini Airport, said the flight service would operate according to the company’s new schedule from 27 October. He also said helicopter services were operating smoothly because weather conditions were favourable.

Conclusion

From 27 October, the Delhi–Pithoragarh–Dehradun flight service will run 5 days a week, with no service on Fridays and Sundays. The aircraft will follow the revised Naini Saini arrival and departure timings, subject to the company’s schedule.
