Attention was placed on bringing newly constructed houses, commercial establishments, and other taxable properties into the building tax regime. Officials were directed to identify properties whose tax determination is pending or whose tax records require updating. Verification of area, use, and other property details will be undertaken to refresh the corporation’s records.

The Commissioner also ordered ward-wise and area-wise review of building tax, focusing on demand, collection progress, outstanding amounts, and new taxpayers. It was highlighted that increased city revenue could enable better public services including sanitation, street lighting, roads and drainage, as well as parks and other citizen facilities.
