Undergraduate admissions for Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani courses for the 2026‑27 session will be processed through a centralized counseling system in Rishikesh. The counseling will occur in 3 phases between September 15 and November 15, with the first phase running September 15–30, the second phase October 5–October 15, and the third phase starting November 15. Admissions will be offered only on seats approved by NCISM at university‑affiliated institutes and university campuses through centralized state‑level counseling.
The university has confirmed that NCISM has allotted approximately 1200 seats across 20 affiliated colleges for the undergraduate programs. The university’s registrar, Dr. S.K. Barnwal, noted that 2 institutions will not participate in counseling for the 2026‑27 session: Shri Mangla Deep Ayuvedic Medical College, Uttarkashi, whose BAMS accreditation for 2026‑27 has been cancelled by NCISM, and Parm Himalaya Homeopathic Medical College, Dehradun, whose 2026‑27 admission permission was not taken up by the concerned board. As a result, these 2 institutes are excluded from the counseling process. The admissions will be conducted on the basis of NCISM approvals at the university level through a centralized process, and vacancies arising at other affiliated institutions will be filled accordingly.
