The magistrate directed that follow-up reports be sought from departments once a complaint is resolved and records updated accordingly. For cases that cannot be solved immediately, departments should note the action taken and provide an estimated timeline. Such measures aim to maintain clarity on pending complaints and ensure ongoing oversight.
With the monsoon season intensifying, the control room’s role grows in importance, as even a few minutes of delay in receiving, routing, or confirming action can affect relief and response efforts. The 24–hour active directive was issued, with instructions to instantly inform SDMs, tehsil administrations, and related departments as soon as disaster information is received. Daily reviews of incoming complaints and progress reporting to senior officials were also mandated.
The inspection was attended by the district disaster management officer and staff from the disaster department, who stood by as the magistrate conducted the review.
