Nainital water tests find faecal bacteria in Jeolikot-area supplies
Laboratory testing by the Pollution Control Board has detected high levels of faecal bacteria in drinking-water samples from Jeolikot and nearby areas of Nainital district. The findings have prompted fresh sampling, questions over routine testing by the Jal Sansthan and directions from the Nainital High Court for wider checks and official accountability.
