Uttarkashi to Get 14 View and Selfie Points Along Char Dham Routes

Uttarkashi district is developing 14 view points, selfie points and signs along the Gangotri and Yamunotri pilgrroutes. The project, costing about 31.32 lakh rupees, aims to improve rest facilities and make the journey more convenient and memorable for pilgrims visiting the Char Dham shrines.

Char Dham Yatra crosses 50 lakh pilgrims as second phase begins on 15 September

More than 50 lakh pilgrims have visited Uttarakhand’s Char Dham shrines by 10 September, putting the annual pilgron course for a possible new record. The second phase begins on 15 September, when officials expect visitor numbers to rise, while landslide-prone stretches could create traffic challenges on the mountain routes.
