Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop said Uttarakhand has begun coordinating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for crowd management during the Char Dham Yatra.
A meeting has been scheduled to review SOPs submitted by different departments. The initial discussion will focus on the plan prepared by Rudraprayag district for Kedarnath.
Swaroop said instructions had also been issued to all districts where the Char Dham shrines are located. These districts have been asked to prepare their own SOPs, including strategies for managing crowds when visitor numbers reach specified levels.
The stated aim is to ensure that pilgrims do not face inconvenience during the yatra.
