Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) district president Harshvardhan Pant has accused a Ranikhet resident of abusing him and threatening to kill him. Pant submitted a complaint at the Kotwali, seeking appropriate action.
Pant said he was at his shop on 3 October when the man allegedly arrived in a car and abused him. After Pant objected, the man allegedly turned the car around, returned and issued a death threat.
Pant also alleged that the man is associated with the ruling party and had behaved improperly with him on several earlier occasions. The complaint contains allegations; the available information does not state that an FIR has been registered or that any arrest has been made.
