In Betalghat’s Rabainaika Government Girls Inter College, a prior shortage of teachers prompted a student and community protest. The Education Department responded by issuing 2 separate orders on 5 September 2026 through the Chief Education Officer of Na inital, RS Negi. The measures aim to end the ongoing disruption to classes at the senior secondary level by filling vacant s with guest teachers.
Under the first order, guest lecturers were appointed in multiple subjects: Manju Sunori in Political Science, Sapna Goswami in English, Shikha Pandey in Economics, and Munni Devi in Hindi. This expansion creates room for regular higher secondary classes to proceed more normally at Rabainka Betalghat.
A second order fills vacant Lower Template (LT) assistant teacher s. Hansa Sharma has been ed to Physical Education, Kumari Trupta Joshi to Science, and Kumari Hema Devi to Hindi, all serving as guest teachers in Rabainka Betalghat under the Betalghat development block. These additions are intended to stabilize the school’s teaching across subjects.
The appointments are described as temporary by the issuing authority and each new educator will work at a fixed honorarium of ₹25,000 per month. All newcomers were directed to commence duties within one week of the orders’ issue. If the specified start date is not met, the candidate’s appointment may be cancelled. The development has been met with relief among students and parents, who hope for uninterrupted classes and better academics.
