A series of National Teacher's Day events marked Tehri district as educators were celebrated for their service and dedication. In New Tehri, Lingamban and Ghansali, school-level programs honored teachers who have stood out in their duties. A ceremony at Bauradi Nagar Palika Hall saw Chief Development Officer Varuna Agarwal preside as the chief guest and present awards to exemplary teachers. The CDO emphasized that teachers form the foundation of nation-building and should remain devoted to guiding students forward. City officials and local leaders, including the Nagar Palika President Mohan Singh Rawat, Chamba Block Head Suman Sajwan, Palika President Shobni Dhonola, and other district officers, also attended to confer honors on teachers from primary, upper primary and secondary schools—12 primary teachers, 9 upper primary teachers, and 22 secondary teachers received accolades.
