National Teacher’s Day was marked with a formal awards ceremony at the New Tehri Nagar Palika Parishad hall. A total of 43 teachers from Tehri district were honored with certificates for outstanding service, across primary, junior, and secondary divisions. In the primary category, twelve educators from various Rpatravis and gram-level institutions were recognized, followed by a set of recipients in the junior and secondary groups.
CDO Varuna Agarwal addressed the gathering, underscoring the role of teachers as the foundation of nation-building and praising their crucial contribution to society. The event brought together school leaders and officials from Tehri’s development blocks, including principals and other prominent attendees.
The list of awardees includes teachers from Rapatravis and Raivis spread across Ghursalgaon, Manjyadgaon, Khandkari, Guldhi, Dhangidar, Virogi, Kanthargaon, Silogi, Duvakoti, Patudi and Tanggala in the primary category; Arun Prakash Singh Negi from Raura Rav Vikas in the junior category, along with other recipients from Bhonabagi, Banali, Tungoli, Duvakoti, Paniyali, Sursingdhar, Susneri, Sabli, and other Raivikas in the junior group; and several names from Rainka, Ramo Mavi, Rabaianka Chamba, Bauradi, Nagrajadhar, Kharapanch, and other Rainkas for the secondary category.
Prominent attendees at the celebration included Chamba Nagar Palika President Shobhani Dhanoa, Block Head Suman Sajwan, District Legal Services Authority Secretary Dayaram, and other education and local government officials such as Pradhyaya Diet Dipak Ratuydi, Mukesh Chamoli, Mangat Negi, TT Rana, Chakradh Bhadri, Lakhi Singh Awwal, Manoh Awwal, Harish Badoni, Sunil Awwal, Surendra Shah and others.
The ceremony highlighted the district’s commitment to recognizing teacher excellence and fostering continued dedication across all schooling levels.
