Locals emphasize that dry-season crossings are relatively easy, but the river’s swollen state in monsoon makes crossing hazardous. For daily needs such as markets, healthcare, and banking, residents from Rasulpur, Rasulpur Goth, and Aryanagar must travel 7 to 10 kilometers to reach Lalbandh, a journey that becomes significantly longer when the river rises.
The call for a suspension bridge has grown louder after the latest death, attracting renewed attention from residents and local representatives who say the crossing would dramatically reduce risk and travel time for thousands of villagers.
