Under orders from the district administrator, a coordinated check was carried out at the Roorkee-area ARTO office complex in Haridwar on a Saturday. Aadministrative ARTO official Nikil Sharma and Enforcement ARTO Neha Jha conducted the review across sections and counters, examining how work is processed, how records and registers are kept, pending cases, the e-office setup, cleanliness, and public facilities. They instructed staff to keep office records regularly updated and to ensure transparent, timely disposal of public-facing matters.
During the inspection, action was taken against unauthorized eateries operating on the office premises and against people seated in chairs and tables in an unauthorized manner nearby. People present outside the office premises were also moved away. Officials clarified that unnecessary crowds and unauthorized activities hinder public access and affect office functioning.
