A major theft occurred at धमादा भवन, located near Red Cross School in Narendranagar, Tehri Garhwal, on a Friday daytime. The burglary targeted gold jewellery stored in a almirah within the building. The lock on the main gate, the main door, and the almirah were broken, and a small locker inside the almirah was also damaged, allowing the thieves to take the jewellery and flee.
The stolen items include nath, maang-tika, necklaces, jhumkas, gold rings, 3 pairs of kundal, and 3 mangalsutras. The total estimated value of the valuables is between 40 and 50 lakh rupees, as reported by the family.
Following the discovery, the owner’s son, गौरव धमादा, alerted emergency services (Dial 112). A police team including कोतवाली प्रभारी निरीक्षक, देवराज शर्मा, एसएसआइ सतेंद्र भंडारी, and other officers reached the scene along with the investigative squad. A preliminary examination of the site was conducted and fingerprints were collected by the forensic team.
