Almora Police intensify Diwali checks, challan 198 drivers and act against 24 outsiders.

Almora Police have launched an intensified checking and verification campaign ahead of Diwali, following directions from SSP Almora. The drive covers vehicles, residents and people considered potential sources of disorder during the festival period.

Police said 198 vehicle drivers were issued challans during the campaign. 4 vehicles were seized, while action under the Police Act was taken against 24 outsiders who were found living without verification.
