Police in Selakui have arrested 25-year-old Jitendra Kumar after his neighbour Rajpal died following a stabbing during a dispute over an invitation to Kumar’s daughter’s first birthday party. The case was registered under Section 103(one) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after a complaint from the deceased’s family.

Karnaprayag police have arrested Suraj Kumar in connection with the death of his wife, Jyoti, in Senu village, Chamoli district. Investigators said the arrest followed evidence from the inquest proceedings, -mortem report and preliminary inquiry. Police are continuing to examine the alleged involvement of other family members named in the complaint.

3 municipal sanitation workers intervened when masked men allegedly tried to force a woman into a car near Kanan Kunj on Sahastradhara Road in Dehradun. Police have registered a case over the attempted abduction and are examining CCTV footage, the vehicle’s route and a possible family-dispute angle.

An unidentified man’s body was found inside the Kotdwar tehsil complex in Pauri district on Wednesday. Police reached the site after receiving information from local residents, took the body into custody and began efforts to establish his identity. Dehradun Police have arrested 06 people at separate locations in an operation targeting alleged high-profile drug trafficking. The police linked the suspects to Delhi’s Sidhu gang and said the action was carried out under the leadership of Dehradun SSP. their identities, the substances involved or details of the next legal steps is not yet available.

Police allege the couple and 2 others carried out the attack after inviting him to the city, then discarded his mobile phone and wallet in the Ganga.

A motorcycle belonging to Kanjabag Umarukhurd resident Abhinek Singh was reported missing after he visited the Haat Bazaar near Pahenia bypass on 12 September. Khatima police have registered a theft case against an unidentified person and are searching for the suspect and the stolen vehicle.
Kotdwar
Kotdwar police have arrested Sumit Bisht, alias Gaplu, after his uncle alleged that he was threatened with a country-made pistol. Police said they recovered the weapon and 2 live cartridges from the accused near Malan bridge on Friday night. He is being presented before the court for remand proceedings.
Haridwar
A young woman was injured during late-night firing in Haridwar’s Rajiv Nagar after a dispute between people in the area. Police said the shot was apparently aimed at another young man, but struck her instead. She was referred to a higher centre in Rishikesh and was later reported out of danger.

Police in Khatima have registered an FIR against an unidentified driver after a vehicle struck 2 scooter riders near the Reliance petrol pump on Sitarganj Road on 13 September. Amit Giri and Suraj Nath suffered serious injuries, received treatment at the Sub-District Hospital and were later referred to a higher centre.

Police in Rudrapur have registered a case after a video allegedly showing several rounds fired during a dispute between 2 groups in the Transit Camp area circulated on social media. Officers have identified the accused as Pravesh Gangwar, described as a history-sheeter, and are searching for him while examining the video and other evidence.

5 youths were arrested after a fight broke out at Pauri bus stand on Tuesday night, police said. Home Guard personnel present at the site intervened before informing the police. The action came a day after 7 people were arrested in another clash linked to an argument in the town.

A Swift car and a tempo collided near Shyampur crossing in Rishikesh on Tuesday, injuring about 6 to 7 tempo passengers. one person was reported to be in serious condition. Police arrested the Swift driver after allegedly finding him intoxicated and sent him for medical testing as the investigation continues.

Former office-bearer Arun Kumar Shukla, also known as Kinnu Shukla, has sought police protection after alleging that he received repeated threats during the Kichha municipal election. He said a caller displayed a weapon during video calls on 11 September and threatened to shoot him. Police said the complaint is under investigation.
