Champawat
Champawat district has begun identifying unused government buildings for community-focused activities. A meeting chaired by District Magistrate Manish Kumar examined options including self-help group distribution centres, mushroom production units, Anganwadi centres and libraries. Officials will assess each property’s condition and local requirements before preparing an action plan for public use.
Tehri
Tehri District Magistrate Nitika Khandelwal reviewed more than 70 public complaints during a Janta Darbar at the collectorate. Officials were directed to resolve pending cases within one week and inform complainants about the outcome, while several matters were addressed during the hearing itself.
Uttarkashi
Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya inspected the approximately 5-km trekking route to Yamunotri Dham on Sunday. Departments were told to repair damaged structures, improve sanitation, maintain drinking-water and toilet facilities, and keep medical teams, machinery and workers ready before visitor numbers rise during the second phase of the pilgr.
