Uttarakhand STF warns against fake ‘rent a girlfriend’ offers used in possible cyber fraud traps
The Uttarakhand Special Task Force has warned people not to treat online offers for rented boyfriends or girlfriends as genuine services. Fraudsters may demand registration or booking payments, steal personal and banking details, or attempt blackmail. The STF urged users to verify offers and report suspected cybercrime immediately.
