Haridwar rail connectivity gets boost with Garib Rath extension and approval for new AC trains
The Bandra Terminus–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath Express will be extended to Haridwar, while new AC train services linking Haridwar with Veraval and Okha have received approval. The expanded network is expected to improve access from western India, particularly for pilgrims visiting during the upcoming Kumbh, while supporting religious tourism and Uttarakhand’s local economy.
