Doiwala Sugar Mill is working towards opening its new sugarcane crushing season in the first half of November, executive director Ajayveer Singh said on Monday. A 14-year-old girl from Doiwala went missing after being swept away during Ganpati idol immersion near Laljiwala Basti in Haridwar’s Nagar Kotwali area. Police and SDRF teams searched through Wednesday night and resumed operations on Thursday, but no trace had been found by late evening, officials said.
