Paddy procurement is continuing in Khatima, with 47 rice millers registered for the process so far. Weighing through commission agents has moved faster than the weighing recorded at the Food Department’s scales at the Mandi Samiti.

On Saturday, commission agents weighed 5,000 quintals of paddy. The total through this channel had stood at 3,000 quintals by Friday, taking the cumulative quantity to 8,000 quintals.

Food Department scales record 607 quintals

Weighing is also taking place at the Food Department’s scales in the Mandi Samiti. These scales recorded 250 quintals on Saturday.

The Food Department had weighed 357 quintals by Friday. With Saturday’s figure included, the total weighing at its scales has reached 607 quintals.
