Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the official logo, website and song for Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027 at a programme in Haridwar on October 12, 2026. The launch is aimed at taking the festival’s religious, spiritual and cultural identity to audiences across India and abroad.
The 3 official platforms will also support public access to information connected with the Kumbh. The website is intended to provide devotees, visitors and the wider public with authentic details about preparations and the event.
The programme was held at the auditorium of the Mela Control Building, also known as the CCR, in Haridwar. Dhami said the Kumbh represents India’s ancient spiritual tradition, Sanatan culture and public faith.
He said Haridwar Kumbh has special religious importance for crores of devotees. The state government, he added, is committed to organising Kumbh Mela 2027 as a grand and spiritually significant event, with arrangements planned to make it safe, orderly and accessible.
Logo reflects Haridwar’s religious identity
The official logo combines several symbols associated with Haridwar, the Ganga and Sanatan tradition. Its design includes Maa Ganga, the Har Ki Pauri area, the Dhanush bridge and the spiritual light of sunrise.
It also features a Shiva statue, ascetics and saints, and the trident and damaru, which are symbols associated with Sanatan tradition. The hills of Maa Mansa Devi and Maa Chandi Devi have also been included in the design.
The Mela administration had invited entries from young people and students in Uttarakhand for the Kumbh Mela 2027 logo. Hundreds of designs were received, after which a selection committee reviewed 13 outstanding and original entries.
The winning design was submitted by Madhu Sharma, a resident of Vikas Nagar, Jagjitpur, Haridwar. The official logo was finalised on the basis of her design.
