Ashok Kumar Gumber, a resident of Friends Colony, has alleged that 3 men from Gadarpur assaulted him outside his home after a dispute involving 7 lakh linked to his son. He said the men fled when neighbours gathered after hearing the disturbance and has sought police action in the matter.

Police say statements from 2 arrested suspects have indicated money transfers and meetings involving people linked to the agency, while the wider role of AIIMS personnel remains under examination.

Uttarakhand has approved 1647 houses under PM Awas 2.0 (Urban) for eligible families across urban local bodies in Chamoli, Haridwar, Nainital, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar. The projects will receive 2.75 lakh रुपये per house, while the budget for the newly sanctioned homes is expected to be released soon.

A 45-year-old house collapsed suddenly in Pousada village of Devprayag block on Thursday morning. Ramashwari Devi escaped by jumping from the balcony, but her dairy buffalo died beneath the debris. The animal was her family’s only livelihood after her husband’s death, prompting a request for housing support and compensation.
