Heavy rains ease in Uttarakhand; pickup washed away in Dehradun, tree blocks Ramnagar road as landslide halts Chamoli traffic
A week-long spell of rain saw some improvement on Sunday as weather eased in parts of Uttarakhand. While yellow alerts linger for several districts, fresh downpours and thunder are forecast in pockets, with daylight showers and thunder in Dehradun, Haridwar, Bageshwar, Nainital, Pauri and Chamoli. Traffic disruptions were reported in Ramnagar and Dehradun after downpours, and a landslide briefly blocked the Tharali-Deval route in Chamoli before clearance.
