Almora voter roll drops by about 50,000 after SIR; final 6-seat count due on 3 October
A special revision has reduced Almora’s draft electoral roll by 55,485 names across its 6 Assembly constituencies. Officials received 6,604 applications after publication of the draft, and around 5 to 6 thousand names were subsequently restored, leaving the overall decline at about 50,000. The final roll will clarify the revised electorate.
