In Khatima, Kiren Rijiju highlights Uttarakhand’s tribal diversity and heritage at festival
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju used a festival in Khatima to underline India’s recognition of tribal identities and Uttarakhand’s diverse indigenous communities. He referred to the Tharu, Buxa, Jaunsari, Raji and Bhotia communities, while recalling the creation of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
