Haldwani canal-covering project moves ahead, with 74 trees cleared for removal
The Haldwani canal-covering project has reached the tree-removal stage after the Forest Department approved cutting 74 trees along the planned route. The approximately 2-kilometre work is intended to support urban development and reduce vehicle pressure on the national highway between Sushila Tiwari Hospital and the Hyundai showroom at Devalchaur.
