Rishikesh Dussehra effigies burn an hour early after short circuit disrupts Triveni Ghat event
Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran effigies at Rishikesh’s Triveni Ghat caught fire during lighting tests, about one hour before their scheduled burning. The incident disrupted preparations by the Subhash Club Dussehra Committee and disappointed local residents and visitors who had gathered to watch the lights, fireworks and evening programme.
