Uttarakhand honours 6 children with first State Bravery Award for courage in dangerous emergencies
6 children from Uttarakhand have received the state’s first Chief Minister’s State Bravery Award after acts of courage involving a bear attack at a school, a river rescue, a cloudburst and a speeding vehicle. Each recipient received a medal, certificate and ₹51,000, while their stories also raise concerns about child safety.
