Weekend rush fills Sitapur and Sonprayag parking as Kedarnath pilgrim numbers may rise again
Parking facilities at Sitapur and Sonprayag were full by 5:00 PM on 02 October 2026 amid the weekend rush, according to Rudraprayag Police. The force expects pilgrim numbers travelling towards Kedarnath Dham to increase again in the coming days and has asked visitors to monitor traffic updates and follow official instructions.
