Police in Rishikesh and Ranipokhari have registered separate cases after 2 residents reported losing a combined ₹2,98,000 through alleged cyber fraud. Atul Rawat reported a ₹2,00,000 loss after contact from an unknown caller, while Geeta said ₹98,000 was taken from her account through UPI. Investigators are working to identify those responsible.
