Insects found in sweets at Haldwani shop; customers demand testing as officials stay away
Customers objected after reportedly spotting insects in kalakand and jelly sweets at a well-known shop on Haldwani’s Rampur Road during Dussehra. The group took the sweets for testing after officials did not reach the spot, while the Food Safety Department said it would begin an awareness campaign for sweet sellers and continue festival sampling until Diwali.
