Gairsain dam project gets ₹122.6891 crore approval to strengthen drinking water supply in Chamoli
The Uttarakhand government has approved ₹122.6891 crore for a dam on the Ramganga river to supply drinking water to Gairsain town and nearby settlements in Chamoli district. An initial ₹2.454 crore has been sanctioned to begin the project, subject to technical, environmental and financial safeguards.
