Dehradun police arrest 5 in illegal call-centre scam targeting foreigners with antivirus offers
Rajpur police say 5 Uttar Pradesh residents were running an unauthorised call centre from a rented flat in Dehradun. The group allegedly contacted mainly US and Canadian citizens, persuaded them to buy 100-dollar gift cards for antivirus support and often failed to provide the promised application after receiving the card details.
