Uttarakhand UKD questions water-cannon action on Gairsain protesters, renews permanent-capital call
The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has criticised the use of a water cannon against its workers during the Assembly session in Gairsain. At a Wednesday press conference in Almora, party leader Kashi Singh Airy said the protesters were seeking to submit a memorandum on permanent capital status, jobs, domicile rights and stronger land laws.
