Uttarakhand orders ‘best before’ dates on open sweets as food safety checks find failed samples
Uttarakhand’s food safety department has made best-before displays mandatory on trays of open sweets. The state-wide campaign also found samples of mustard oil, sesame oil, khoya and curd that failed testing. Notices have been issued, with further legal action expected through the ADM court process.
