Uttarkashi employees burn NPS, UPS copies in protest, demand restoration of old pension scheme
Employees gathered at Uttarkashi’s Ramlila Maidan to press for restoration of the old pension scheme. Led by district president Jai Prakash Bijalwan, the protesters burned copies of the National Pension System and Unified Pension Scheme, and warned of intensified action if their demands are not addressed soon.
