ECI orders transfer of election-linked officers in 5 states ahead of 2027 Assembly elections
The Election Commission of India has directed Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to review ings of officers connected with elections. Officers serving in their home districts or completing 3 years in a district during the last 4 years must be transferred under specified criteria, with compliance reports due by November 30.
