Tamil Nadu pilgrim swept into Alaknanda at Nandprayag after father’s rites; search continues
A 40-year-old man from Tamil Nadu disappeared in the Alaknanda River at Nandprayag, Chamoli, after performing rituals for his deceased father. Police and the State Disaster Response Force launched a search after he slipped while collecting water for his mother. No trace had been found by late evening.
