Haldwani leopard concern: Forest department gives more than 1,000 whistles to schoolchildren
The Nainital Forest Division is training schoolchildren in 6 villages near the Manora range to respond to leopard movement. Children are being advised to travel in groups, remain alert and make loud noise with whistles if they sense danger, while camera traps monitor sensitive locations despite staff shortages.
